I really miss those fierce Sao Paulo rain storms… 🙂

Regarding Jardim Paulista’s water falls on the sidewalk, it could be a lot worse. Like Vila Madalena, it’s so bad over there I’ve seen several cars being dragged down the street by the force of the water…

  5. A bit of a drainage problem methinks. I’m seeing the same thing here in Chisinau, Moldova (a real country) even after a short downpour. The roads are not constructed properly and the drainage doesn’t work. It is truly amazing to see the roads changing into rivers minutes after it starts raining. It doesn’t even have to be a real storm. Will be a massive job to fix.

    Miss Footlose,

Sao Paulo’s problem is just too much water falling in the same place at the same time, and just like Megan mentioned, it is all gone in a short time… plus the city is very hilly, so it form some strong downhill water currents…

    Where is the video? 😦
