Brazilian Challenge Day 20: Loteria

At the suggestion of Danielle, I bought a lottery ticket! As recommended, I played the Mega-Sena, which, if I understood correctly, will be pulled on Tuesday.

The Brazilian lottery seems to work much like the American lottery. You pick six number and hand over your R$2 (approximate equivalent of US $1) and wait to see if your numbers get picked. I didn’t see a “Quick Pick” option like we have in the U.S.

Much like the States, there are a variety of games to play. I also bought an instant scratch-off ticket.

But big surprise…

…no big prize. Maybe on Tuesday I’ll hit it big!

    Dear B.A.B.,

Your impression is correct, the Brazilian lottery is actually exactly the same as the American lottery, both are managed by an Italian company called G-Tech, with it’s North American headquarters located in Providence, Rhode Island, not too far from us… 🙂

Good luck!! Don’t forget us small people when you hit it big! 😉
