Today for my Brazilian challenge, and this one was a challenge in itself, I read the magazine Veja. There were a lot of familiar topics – Robert Downey Jr., Michelle Obama, Mitch Romney, Rita Hayworth… and of course Brazilian issues.
But even more than the articles, the advertising was great reading. Targeted to the lowest common denominator, magazine ads had fabulous phrases useful for everyday life. “O mundo quer falar com o Brasil,” and “Uma viagem legal comeca muito antes de said de casa.”
