Update: Promotions

So Galeria Melissa, a shoe designer,  has teamed up with Post It (yes, Post It notes by 3M). Makes sense, right? No, it totally doesn’t. 

Perhaps Western companies are too narrow-minded in their co-branding strategies. Breyer’s and Hershey’s, Coach and Lexus, Pepsi and Pizza Hut …. maybe it’s just too obvious, and there is a method to the madness of pairing plastic designer shoes with office supplies. But I struggle to try and find it.

This contraption was outside the Carrefor, one of the local grocery chains. And yes, those are toilets. I got that they were pushing a cleaning product, but this attracted such a big crowd, it made me wonder if they weren’t offering other services…

    They are probably doing this fancy promotion to call attention of consumers to a new concept in toilet cleaning…
    This type of toilet bowl cleaner with the applicator is somewhat new here too. There is constant ads for this product here, but it has a different name, I can’t remember exactly what it is, but it’s not “PATO”.
    It looks like their Marketing department had too much money in their budget and someone got creative in a very expensive way … 🙂
